In the first quarter of 2021, self-therapy and journaling applications on the iOS platform saw varied performances across the Latin American market. Data provided by Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into how these apps fared in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with Productive - Habit Tracker, the app experienced a peak in downloads at the beginning of January with approximately 10K downloads before observing a gradual decline to around 6K by the end of March. Revenue trends showed a similar pattern with a spike to over $4K in early January, followed by a decrease to around $3K towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users reached a high of 39K in the first week of January and subsequently fluctuated, ending the quarter with around 31K active users.

The Fabulous: Daily Habit Tracker also peaked in revenue in early January with over $6K but saw a decrease to about $5K by the end of March. Downloads for Fabulous began at around 5K and dipped to 2.6K in early February before rebounding to over 6K by the end of March. Active users showed an increase from 28K at the end of December to approximately 37K by the end of March.

Yana: Your emotional companion saw its revenue fluctuate throughout the quarter, with a notable peak of nearly $500 in the first week of January, but ended the quarter with around $200. Downloads started strong at over 9K, dropped to 1.8K in early February, and then surged to over 7K by late March. The weekly active users began at 24K, dipped to around 10K in early February, and rose to over 13K by the end of March.

Daylio Journal - Daily Diary showed consistency in revenue, starting at $456 and reaching a peak of $791 in mid-February, with a slight drop to $531 by the end of March. Downloads for Daylio Journal decreased from 3.7K at the end of December to 2.1K by the end of March. The app maintained a steady base of weekly active users, starting with 25K and slightly increasing to around 26K over the quarter.

Lastly, Cingulo – Mental Wellness observed a downward trend in revenue, beginning the quarter with $1.9K and declining to $901 by the end of March. Downloads saw a similar pattern, starting at 2.2K and reducing to 1.7K. Weekly active users experienced a slight increase from 10K at the beginning of the quarter to around 11K in late March.
